The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has announced an upward review of Nigerian Standard Passport fees, effective September 1, 2025.

According to a statement signed by the Service Public Relations Officer, ACI A.S. Akinlabi, the new fees will be N100,000 for a 32-page passport with a 5-year validity and N200,000 for a 64-page passport with a 10-year validity.

The report states that the review is only applicable to passport applications made within Nigeria, while fees for Nigerians in the diaspora remain unchanged. Nigerians living abroad will continue to pay $150 for a 32-page passport and $230 for a 64-page passport.

The NIS explained that the fee increase is aimed at upholding the quality and integrity of the Nigerian Passport, while also ensuring that passport services remain accessible to all Nigerians.

The new fees will take effect from September 1, 2025, and applicants are advised to take note of the changes to avoid any inconvenience.
