• The Chairman of Igbogbo-Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA),Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun has urged the Muslim faithful to use the occasion of Eid-el-Maulud to reflect on the exemplary life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

 

Aroyewun, in his Eid-el-Maulud message called on Muslims to embrace the virtues of compassion, humility, justice, patience, peace and service to humanity, describing them as enduring lessons from the life of the Prophet.

 

The chairman also urged residents to strengthen the bonds of unity and promote peace and compassion within their communities, stressing the importance of translating the teachings of the Prophet into acts of kindness and service to others.

 

He quoted the Qur’an, Chapter 33, Verse 56, which states: “Indeed, Allah showers His blessings upon the Prophet, and His angels pray for him. O believers! Invoke Allah’s blessings upon him, and salute him with worthy greetings of peace.”

 

According to him, the celebration provides an opportunity for Muslims to deepen their spiritual commitment while reflecting on the noble character and exemplary conduct of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

 

“May this blessed occasion inspire us to emulate the noble character and exemplary life of the Prophet (SAW), strengthen our bonds of unity, promote peace and compassion in our communities, and deepen our commitment to serving humanity,” he said.
