The Chairman of Igbogbo-Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Hon. Habib Anifowose (Alapa), Councillor representing Ward C5.
Aroyewun, in a condolence message issued following the councillor’s death, described the development as a painful loss to the council and the people of Ward C5.
The chairman said Anifowose’s death was not only the loss of a dedicated public servant but also the loss of a voice that consistently championed the welfare and development of his constituents.
According to him, the late councillor distinguished himself during his service to the LCDA through his commitment to good governance and the advancement of his ward.
“Hon. Anifowose’s death is not merely the loss of a dedicated public servant, but the loss of a voice that championed the welfare and development of his constituents with unwavering commitment,” Aroyewun said.
He added that the late councillor’s contributions to the development of the council would remain memorable, noting that his service had left an enduring mark on the community.
The chairman described the death as a dark day for the Local Council Development Area, stressing that the late councillor would be remembered for his principles and dedication to public service.
Aroyewun extended his condolences to the immediate family, relatives and residents of Ward C5, urging them to draw strength from the legacy of service left behind by the deceased.
“While we mourn this irreplaceable loss, let us take solace in the legacy of service and dedication he has left behind,” he said.
The council chairman prayed for the repose of Anifowose’s soul and asked God to grant his family and loved ones the strength to bear the loss.
